After an impressive first performance last week against a strong Randalstown side, Rainey II had a tougher task this week, heading further down the M2 to face a much stronger Malone II side.  In bright sunny conditions perfect for running rugby, they went down 38-12, as the home side ran in six tries against two from the visitors.

 Centre Ryan Kearns bagged Rainey’s first try from open play, a couple of carries after a tap penalty, and then also added the conversion.  Lock Ryan Brown crashed over for their second following a deft pass from scrum-half Josh Johnston.  Lock Cormac Diamond and No8 Joel Bell carried well throughout the game, but the home side proved to be too strong.
